Suppliers connect to Sabre using the OTA_VehModifyRQ API. Requests from this API are sent to the supplier through SSG and they form a response after the confirmation number has been recognized. The response is sent via the OTA_VehModifyRS API.

• Parameters that likely require re-shopping for the latest availability or pricing include: pick-up/return date and time, vehicle type, vehicle extras such as satellite navigation or a child seat.
• Parameters that likely do not require re-shopping but are still permitted in a booking modify request include: reservation name of the driver, form of payment, car supplier loyalty ID.

The car supplier provides a response confirming the details of the booking modification request and its successful update in the car supplier system. This is then followed with a car segment update in the Sabre PNR to reflect the required changes.
