Password Management for Sabre APIs
Important! You need to be authenticated in order to interact successfully with the Sabre system.
When a new Sabre API credential is provisioned, you’ll get provided with:
- EPR (Employee Profile Record)
- Temporary Password
- PCC (Pseudo-City-Code)
Note on Temporary Passwords expiration:
- Temporary passwords assigned to newly created EPRs expire 24 hours after the creation date.
- Temporary passwords assigned to existing EPRs expire 24 hours after the temporary password has been assigned and the EPR has been updated.
- If the temporary password is not changed and it expires, the system displays a prompt message advising agents to obtain a new temporary password.
The table below summarizes the elements used across all Sabre systems (either via point of sale solutions, such as Sabre Red 360 / Sabre Red Workspace, or SOAP & REST Sabre APIs):

The table below defines your first time "permanent" password in order to consume Sabre APIs. Additional details are also provided so you can perform other password management steps.
Note: It is highly recommended for Sabre API users to define security questions upon provision of new credentials.
