Workflows

Get your project off to a flying start with Sabre APIs workflows.

These workflows represent common transactions to help you build high quality applications using Sabre APIs. Each workflow contains a brief list of sequential steps designed to combine Sabre APIs for common scenarios.

Authentication must first be requested before you can make subsequent Sabre APIs calls. See the SOAP API authentication guidelines for details.

Any of the workflows that take action over an existing reservation (such as a 'Post Booking transaction', 'Issue Air Ticket', etc.) require you to retrieve the passenger name record first (using TravelItineraryReadRQ) first, then confirm/end the transaction (using EndTransactionLLSRQ or PassengerDetailsRQ).

There is no limitation on the number of transactions that can be executed between calls. Meaning, it's possible to combine Sabre APIs calls from multiple workflows, if needed.

If you know precisely what updates are needed and there is no need to read the contents of the passenger name record (except to take action on it), PassengerDetailsRQ orchestrates the retrieve/end transactions. Therefore, in some cases the initial call to TravelItineraryReadRQ can be saved (see 'Reserve Air Seat' workflow for an example).

Explore and test these workflows using our project file on GitHub for the open source SoapUI tool (soapui.org), which demonstrates a subset of sample implementations, including setup and run instructions.
