The Get Hotel Descriptive Info (GetHotelDescriptiveInfoRQ) API enables customers to view static hotel content for a specific property ID. The user can specify a list of descriptions that they want to see in the response.

What is it?

The Get Hotel Descriptive Info API is used to retrieve location and detailed property information for specific Sabre hotel IDs.

Why use it?

The Get Hotel Descriptive Info API is used to view static hotel property content for a specific property ID. This includes property description, location information, amenities, security features, and other hotel descriptions. Further customize the response by specifying the kinds of property descriptions you'd like to see in the response.

How does it work?

This API retrieves detailed hotel information for a single property. The source of the information depends on the context of the property ID. Context can be either Sabre or Global

  • For Sabre context, the property information is retrieved from the GDS core.
  • For Global context, the data is retrieved from the Lodging Multisource database.

Descriptive information returned in the response includes:

  • Property information
  • Location information
  • Amenity information
  • Additional charges
  • Nearby airport and points of interest information
  • Accepted credit cards
  • Guarantee policy
  • Security features

The response will also contain the following information:

  • Property Id
  • Property name
  • Property location information including address, neighborhood, and latitude/ longitude
  • Brand and chain information
  • Sabre property rating
  • Property status is active or not
  • Number of floors at the property
  • Total number of rooms at the property
  • Property type – apartment vs resort etc.
  • Property features – for example, if breakfast is complimentary
  • Property quality – economy/ mid-scale/ luxury/ etc.
  • Room traits – nonsmoking/in-room coffee & tea/ refrigerator in room/ etc.
  • Amenities that can be requested– Rollaway/crib/ etc.
  • Contact information
  • Amenities
  • Property taxes
  • Nearby airport information including distance and direction to the airport
  • Nearby points of interest
  • Accepted credit cards
  • Guarantee and Cancellation policies including deadlines
  • Additional charges
  • Policies regarding aspects such as check-in and check-out among others
