API Roadmap

The Sabre APIs roadmap features current and upcoming releases in a comprehensive timeline. Additional information about each API can be accessed from their respective documentation pages. Please note: some APIs may not be included in the roadmap. If you have additional questions, contact your account manager.

  • Q 1
  • Two new features were added to the current GeoSearch Response API:

    • Direction

      Distance direction based on the latitude/longitude entered to the actual location

    • Confidence Factor

      Describes the accuracy of geocode (latitude/longitude)

    Profile Merge API

    Allows you to merge two duplicate profiles to create a single master profile.

    Provider Ticketing Profile is used to look up the preferred change fee collection method applicable at time of ticket exchange by provider and point of sale and can be used in conjunction with the Auto Price Air Exchanges API when completing an Automated Exchanges transaction to streamline the exchange process.

  • New features in version 2.6.0 that increase workflow ease, allowing to process a higher number of transactions:

    • Override Change Fee/Tax on Fee/Ticket Fee
    • Tour Code
    • New Ticket Full Commission Amount (ARC)
    • Auto-Redirect
    • Fee Collection Method

    Get Seat Map Counts API will enable customers to query cached seat map data on a multitude of seat details to support unique inquiries. Enables the ability to provide seat information without having to display a seat map. Examples: number of aisle seats, window seats, exit row seats, premium seats, consecutive seats together. Note: this phase of Seat Map Cache is not integrated into shopping

    Get Ancillary Offers is used to return a list of Air Extras products and their prices available for a given itinerary. The first release accommodates payload mode only, for pre-ticketed ancillary pricing.

    Schedule Change API

    Schedule Change is used to streamline the exchange of tickets impacted by a planned airline schedule change.

    Bargain Finder Max APIs

    This release contains several new optional features for the following APIs:

    • Bargain Finder Max API
      SOAP | REST
    • Shop Across Passenger Type API
      SOAP
    • Alternate Dates API
      SOAP | REST
    • Alternate Airport Shop API
      SOAP | REST

    Enhancement updates:
    • Additional response element for Validating Carrier without BSP check.
    • Multiple Fares per Itinerary - New optional parameter added to the request to ensure all fares, main and alternate, will be sorted based upon price and returned with the final result.

    Issue Air Ticket API now supports Passport and Date of Birth in the endorsement field for all settlement types in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) markets.

    The Custom Regions API is a suite of APIs that allow you to modify and customize regions. Specifically, these regions are used by some of the Travel Insight Engine related Air Search APIs.

    • Region Lookup API - returns a list of all Sabre regions.
    • Region Details Lookup API - returns a list of country codes associated with a Sabre region.
    • Custom Region Lookup API - returns a list of your custom regions. Note: the custom region must belong to the authenticating PCC.
    • Custom Region Details Lookup API - returns the country codes and/or airport codes associated to your custom region. Note: the custom region must belong to the authenticating PCC.
    • Create Custom Regions API – is used to create a custom region.
    • Update Custom Regions API – is used to update an existing custom region.
    • Delete Custom Regions API – is used to delete a custom region.

    The Exchange Shopping API is used to search for applicable itinerary reissue options for an existing ticket. The API searches for up to 50 reissue options on other flights for the same day. Once the preferred travel alternate is selected, the ticket can be subsequently reissued using the Automated Exchanges API.

    FareNabber is a new auto shopping API to search for the best low fare option(s) matching subscribed search criteria. Once a match is found, the option(s) are pushed to the customer for a traveler purchase decision. Great product to offer fare alerts for your travelers.

    Display price quote (PQ) records with the ability to include optional search parameters to filter responses, such as by PNR record locator, PQ number, traveler name number, and PQ summary.

  • Auto Price Air Refund is used to calculate ticket refunds using the carriers Voluntary Refunds (Category 33) fare rules.

    • Refundable fare amount
    • Refundable tax amount
    • Applicable cancellation fee

    API can now be consumed with both Session and Session-less Tokens.

    Bargain Finder Max APIs

    Updates to the BFM APIs will include:

    • Anchored Search is a new search flow response in Bargain Finder Max which allows a list of combinable inbound itinerary options to be returned to match a specific outbound flight option.
    • New multiple fares per itinerary search parameters including passenger type code and account code handling, class of service, and multi-ticket combinability.
    • New price and availability revalidation option to recheck availability on a specific itinerary option returned in shopping along with alternate options.
    • Further ability to combine marketing and operating airline options.

    This release contains several new optional features for the following APIs:

    Schedule Change is used to process an even exchange for tickets impacted by a planned airline schedule change. This new tool processes an even exchange required as a result of a planned airline schedule change

    • ‘SKCHG’ automatically added to endorsement field
    • ‘I-‘ automatically added at the beginning of the fare calculation line to indicate an involuntary change
    • Option to include additional endorsement text
    • Option to include a Tour Code

    API can now be consumed with both Session and Session-less Tokens.

    Revalidate Itinerary API

    Ability to recheck availability and price for a specific itinerary option without booking the itinerary.

  • Orchestrated Air Ticket API

    Orchestrated AirTicket API bundles several functions and operations into a single API call thus maximizing development efforts and providing operational efficiencies.

    • Provides the capability to issue multiple Air Tickets and EMDs into a single call
    • Issues multiple PQRs in one call
    • Issues more than one PTC in the same transaction with installments
    • Integrates printer address designation/un-designation
    • Manages sessions on behalf of the client application
    • Introduces error handling to ensure the successful issuance of an Air Ticket

    Air Shopping Widgets API

    Library of reusable widgets and components which can be used to easily develop to and integrate Sabre air shopping, inspirational and intelligence APIs.
