Enhancements

Digital Connect introduces the following enhancements:

  • Add FQTR element to fixed award PNRs containing interline segments
  • Operating carrier enhancement for FLIFO

  • Multi-city stopover fare solution in IBF shopping

Defects 

The following Digital Connect defects have been fixed for this release:

  • Award amount returned as exponential constants 

 

Enhancements:

Add FQTR element to fixed award PNRs containing interline segments

Digital Connect introduces an enhancement to the Redemption flow that introduces the ability for an airline to add an FQTR element to fixed award PNRs for interline partners. This ensures a frequent flyer member is blocked from earning miles/points on fix award airfares for interline partners.

Note: For below formats, XX represents an airline code.

Prerequisites

  • Airline must have a frequent flyer program
  • Airline must have an interline agreement allowing other airline guests on interline connections to receive applicable benefits

Operating carrier enhancement for FLIFO

Digital Connect introduces an enhancement that enables the FLIFO functionality to support displaying the operating carrier information for codeshare and interline flights.

Prerequisites

  • Airline must be using FLIFO

Limitations

None.

Multi-city stopover fare solution in IBF shopping

Digital Connect introduces an enhancement that allows users to shop for multi-city flights while we develop offer/order enhancement. 

In the image below, the highlighted lines indicate the new contract changes we made for air search/select response. The first segment for each itinerary part returns, "fareComponentBeginAirport', "fareComponentDirectionality", and "fareComponentEndAirport".

Resolution:

Returns whole number for Award amount in FFCURRENCY (the number of points) instead of returning them as exponential value in DC air search/products response.
