The Get Vehicle Availability API enables Sabre to request vehicle availability, pricing, and other data from car suppliers connected to the Car Supplier API. The obtained data is combined with other information (including car policy information) and then returned in shopping requests to travel agencies and others through car distribution APIs. Suppliers connect to Sabre, form a response with their pricing and availability for the requested search criteria, and then send the response.

The fields to include in a supplier request for shopping availability are listed below. Please note that this is not a definitive list as some of the fields are optional.

• travel agency (PCC, IATA code, etc.) making the shopping request
• car vendor code(s)
• car vendor location(s) e.g. location code, geocode, or airport code
• pick up date and time
• return date and time
• pickup / drop-off locations (if different than pickup)
• rate preferences including commission, rate assured, requested currency, etc.
• car extra preferences including satellite navigation, child seat, etc.
• corporate discount number, frequent flyer/renter number, rate code, promo codes, and tour codes
• enhanced prepaid rates

The fields to include in the supplier response to a shopping availability request are listed below. Please note that this is not a definitive list.

• vehicle availability that matches the car vendor code(s) and location(s), pickup date and time, and return date and time
• vehicle rental information including availability status, rate code, rate plan, guarantee and rate assured indicator, supplier currency, vehicle type, and seat belts and bag indicators
• vehicle charge information including total amount, base rental amount (e.g amount per day), charge types, mileage allowance, and extra mileage allowance
• commission details
• confirmed car extras / special equipment and associated rate details
• mandatory and optional extra charges, including optional rate details (extra day/hour rates)
• enhanced prepaid/guarantee details
• updated corporate discount number, frequent flyer/renter number, rate code, promo codes, and tour codes
