Term Description
EPR Employee Profile Record. Each user of PSS is provided with a unique ID, that combined with a user-defined password, permits access to the system. The EPR also includes security access indicators, including cities permitted for sign in, duty codes, and application keywords.
PNR Passenger Name Record. A file record in TPF used to store passenger specific information related to the travel itinerary, payment, and other related information. The fundamental record in a reservation system containing the information.
PSS Passenger Service System. This is the part of Sabre that handles the creation of Sabre PNRs, allows booking of airline flights, car rentals, hotel nights, provides airline prices and tickets, and other travel retail-related products.
SSCI Sabre Sonic Check-In.
XML Extensible Markup Language. A specification developed by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). XML is a pared-down version for SGML, designed especially for web documents.
WSDL Web Services Definition. WSDL uses a common format to describe and publish the formats, operations, and protocols of a web service. WSDL elements describe data using one or more XML schemas. These schemas are passed to the web service. The description of the data tells the receiver how to process the data, and the binding to a protocol or transport instructs the sending how to send the data. Both parties must have access to the same XML schema. WSDL is used with SOAP APIs.
